Hello!
New Alert: Goldgroup Mining Inc. (NYSE American: GORO)
GORO is our brand new NYSE American high growth gold alert.
This is a hidden gem opportunity that not many have seen, and we are amongst the first to bring it to your attention.
The company has a chart setup positioning for a big breakout opportunity with multiple recent developments.
Plus, GORO is in one of the hottest sectors today, precious metals, with gold and silver both in the midst of one of the most extraordinary runs in modern financial history.
But wait, it gets better.
Just this past week, the company upsized its financing from 75 million to 125 million dollars because demand was so strong. And look at who is writing the checks:
“Cornerstone Investors include Trafigura, Eric Sprott, Rick Rule, Fiscal Wisdom, Calu Opportunity Fund and Two Additional Institutional Natural Resource Funds”
When Eric Sprott and Rick Rule show up in the same financing, the smart money in the resource sector is paying attention.
GORO is a NYSE American listed “precious-metals producer and growth-oriented mining company with four 100%-owned assets across Mexico and the United States”.
GORO “owns and operates the Don David Gold Mine in Oaxaca, Mexico and the Cerro Prieto Gold Mine in Sonora, Mexico, while advancing the San Francisco Gold Project in Sonora toward a potential production restart and the Back Forty Project in Michigan toward development.”
The company’s “strategy is focused on building a larger-scale intermediate precious-metals producer through a combination of production growth, exploration, mine optimization, project development, and potential acquisition of additional projects or M&A transactions.”
The Six Reasons This One Stands Out
Here are some of the company's key investment highlights:
Multi asset portfolio: “100%-owned portfolio: two producing mines and one restart project in Mexico support the shortterm production growth; Back Forty project provides further upside and exposure to the U.S.”
Clear production growth: “Targeting ~60,000 oz AuEq in 2026 and >100,000 koz AuEq by end 2027,* with a longer-term goal of 250,000 koz AuEq through organic growth and M&A”
Funded, low-risk growth: “US$59M in cash (US$72M post-warrant exercise), zero debt and low capex requirement, supported by existing infrastructure and permitted assets. Cash balance as of June 30, 2026.”
Precious metals exposure: “Gold production, ~40% silver exposure and a multi-million-ounce resource base provide attractive commodity leverage”
Proven operating team: “Combined leadership brings broad mining, turnaround and Mexico operating expertise to execute the growth plan and unlock a market re-rating”
Enhanced capital markets profile: “Dual U.S./Canada listings, greater scale and liquidity, and broader institutional reach support a re-rating”
Read that production target again.
GORO is aiming for roughly 60,000 ounces this year, more than 100,000 by the end of next year, and a longer-term goal of 250,000 ounces.
That is a company trying to nearly double, then double again (quadruple).
GORO sits at a market capitalization of just under 500 million dollars, against intermediate producers ranging from approximately 551 million to 6.5 billion dollars.
The company describes this as “Major Growth Ahead. Breaking into the $550 Million to $5 Billion Intermediate Producers”.
When it comes to production growth for 2026 to 2029+, GORO ranks third out of eighteen peers at 273%, according to the company’s investor presentation.
How can it get better?
The backdrop for gold is unlike anything the market has seen in decades.
According to JP Morgan: “Looking ahead, the 2026 and 2027 outlook for the metal remains bullish. Prices are expected to push toward $5,000/oz by the fourth quarter of 2026, with $6,000/oz a possibility longer term” with “Central bank and investor demand for gold is set to remain strong, averaging 585 tonnes a quarter in 2026.”
Most investors are still looking at gold ETFs and bullion while missing the companies that actually dig the metal out of the ground - where the real leverage to a rising gold price lives.
GORO is one of those companies.
Here is an in-depth look at the company’s projects:
Don David Gold Mine - Oaxaca, Mexico
“The Don David Gold Mine is now the Company's largest producing asset and is the focus of an aggressive exploration and resource-expansion program.
The Company completed 25,726 metres of diamond drilling in 123 holes at the Don David complex with highly encouraging results (see news release dated August 17, 2026). The program focused primarily on infill and expansion drilling at the producing Arista and Alta Gracia mines, with the majority of the drilling directed toward resource definition and expansion. Up to six drill rigs were operating concurrently during the program.
The Company is also advancing exploration of several highly prospective targets surrounding the existing mine infrastructure, with the objective of replacing and expanding resources, extending mine life and identifying additional mineralized structures.”
San Francisco - Sonora, Mexico
“Goldgroup is advancing the 100%-owned San Francisco Gold Project toward a potential production restart.
A 26,000-metre diamond drilling program is underway, alongside technical studies and mine-planning activities designed to establish the optimal pathway toward a potential restart of the formerly producing open-pit operation.
Existing infrastructure, including two open pits and heap-leach processing facilities, provides a significant foundation for evaluating a potential restart.
The Company is targeting a potential restart in 2027, subject to completion of technical studies, mine planning, financing and other applicable requirements that support the Company restarting operations.”
Cerro Prieto - Sonora, Mexico
“The 100%-owned Cerro Prieto heap-leach gold mine continues to produce gold while the Company advances exploration and development drilling aimed at extending and potentially expanding the resource base.
Cerro Prieto has been in production since 2013 and provides the Company with an existing operating platform in Sonora while exploration continues along the mineralized trend.”
Back Forty - Michigan, USA
“Goldgroup is also advancing the 100%-owned Back Forty project, a large-scale, gold-rich volcanogenic massive sulphide ("VMS") development project in Michigan, subject to the resolution of matters relating to the stream agreements described below and in the MD&A.
Work is progressing on a feasibility study and related development activities. Back Forty provides the Company with a significant longer-term development opportunity and further diversifies Goldgroup's portfolio geographically and by deposit type.
Back Forty is subject to gold and silver stream agreements under which a current Goldgroup subsidiary received US$37.2 million in exchange for a portion of future production. The agreements include funding, default and security provisions. The permitting milestone, previously extended to August 31, 2026, was not met, and Goldgroup is discussing a further amendment. If no amendment is obtained and the Company defaults, it may be required to repay amounts advanced, plus interest, and the counterparty may exercise secured party rights over the Back Forty assets.”
The company has announced multiple accomplishments recently.
In July, the company announced:
“Goldgroup Accelerates Growth Strategy Following Transformational Merger; Company Advances Multi-Asset Drill Programs, Mine Development and Expansion Plans”
The business combination with Gold Resource Corporation closed on July 17, 2026, creating the four-asset portfolio.
Later in July, the company announced:
“Goldgroup Announces Leadership Transition as Company Advances Next Phase of Growth”
“Javier Reyes Chairman & CEO Mining entrepreneur and executive with 25+ years of leadership experience founding, acquiring, and transforming public companies” – will lead GORO.
Here are some of the comments from this press release:
"Goldgroup enters this next chapter from a position of strength. We have a diversified portfolio of producing operations and development assets, an active exploration pipeline, an experienced technical and operating team, and the financial resources necessary to execute our business plan. Our priorities remain clear: safely optimize our operations, expand our resource base, advance our development projects, and create sustainable long-term value for our shareholders."
In August, the company announced:
“Goldgroup Advances San Francisco Toward Potential Production Restart”
The company “commenced a diamond drilling program totalling 26,053 metres at San Francisco, representing the first significant new drilling campaign at the project in many years.
The program is designed to:
Upgrade and confirm portions of the existing mineral resource;
Reduce drill spacing and improve geological confidence;
Provide additional structural and geological information;
Refine the resource model and support additional metallurgical testing;
Support optimization of the mine plan;
Evaluate mineralization extensions within and around the existing pits; and
Generate information required to support the potential restart of mining operations.
The Company expects the current drilling program to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2026.”
The project is a “large-scale, formerly producing open-pit gold operation with substantial existing resources, established infrastructure, permitted mining operations and a significant exploration package.”
Also in August, the company announced:
“Goldgroup Reports Selected Drill Results Highlighting Growth Potential at Don David”
“During the seven months ended July 31, 2026, the Company completed 25,726 meters of diamond drilling in 123 holes, primarily comprising infill and expansion drilling at DDGM's producing underground Arista and Alta Gracia mines.”
Here are some of the company’s comments from this press release:
"Don David currently has two producing mines with substantial exploration opportunities across multiple mineralized vein systems," said Javier Reyes, Chair and Interim Chief Executive Officer. "Our ongoing drilling continues to improve our understanding of the mineralized systems and identify opportunities beyond current mining areas. Our objective isn't simply to replace what we mine, but also to continue discovering and defining mineralization with the potential to extend mine life, grow our resource base and create long-term shareholder value. We believe we're only beginning to unlock Don David's full potential."
At the end of August, the company announced:
“Goldgroup Files Second Quarter 2026 Financial Results and Provides Update on Combined Company”
Javier Reyes, Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Goldgroup, commented:
"The filing of our second quarter financial results marks an important reporting milestone for Goldgroup. However, shareholders should recognize that these results represent Goldgroup as it existed prior to the completion of our combination with Gold Resource and therefore do not reflect the financial contribution or operating performance of Don David or Back Forty."
"The real significance for shareholders is what has happened since quarter-end. We have completed the transformational combination and are now operating a substantially larger company with two producing mines, a formerly producing operation being evaluated for a potential restart and a major development project. At the same time, we are advancing aggressive exploration and development programs across the portfolio."
"Our focus is straightforward: grow production, expand resources, extend mine lives and advance San Francisco and Back Forty toward their next major milestones. We believe the combined company provides Goldgroup with a much stronger platform from which to create long-term shareholder value."
In September, the company announced:
“Goldgroup Highlights Exploration Potential at Don David”
Javier Reyes, CEO, commented, "What makes Don David particularly exciting is the scale and diversity of the exploration opportunities. We are not looking at a single deposit-we are looking at a district-scale land package extending approximately 55 kilometres along the San Jose structural corridor, with multiple known vein systems and several highly prospective targets that remain to be tested. Our producing Arista and Alta Gracia mines demonstrate the potential of this district, while targets such as Margaritas and El Rey provide compelling opportunities to discover and define additional mineralization. We believe we are only beginning to unlock the full exploration potential of the Don David district."
On September 8, the company announced two major items on the same day:
“Goldgroup Reports Strong First Results from 26,000 Metre San Francisco Drill Program”
The company reported “assay results of the first six drillholes from its ongoing 26,000 metre diamond drilling program at the formerly producing San Francisco Gold Project in Sonora, Mexico.”
“Initial results have intersected both higher-grade intervals and broader zones of gold mineralization within areas of known mineralization.”
Javier Reyes, Chief Executive Officer of Goldgroup, commented:
"These first results from our 26,000-metre San Francisco drill program represent a highly encouraging start and reinforce our belief that there is significant opportunity to unlock additional value from this established gold project.
What makes San Francisco particularly compelling is that we are not starting from scratch. This is a formerly producing operation with existing infrastructure and an established mineral resource. Our drilling is designed to build on that foundation by improving our understanding of the deposit and generating the technical information required to evaluate a potential restart, while also testing opportunities for longer-term resource growth."
Second, on the same day:
“Goldgroup Announces US$75 Million Private Placement with US$60 Million Already Committed by Leading Natural Resource Investors”
“Approximately US$60 million of the Offering has already been committed, including significant participation from entities representing or affiliated with Trafigura, Eric Sprott, Rick Rule, Fiscal Wisdom, Calu Opportunity Fund and two additional institutional natural resource funds.”
As the company stated:
"The participation of these sophisticated, long-term natural resource investors represents a strong endorsement of Goldgroup's strategy, asset base and vision to build a leading precious metals producer," said Javier Reyes, CEO and Chairman of Goldgroup.
On September 10, the company announced:
“Goldgroup Highlights Its Two Producing Mines and Significant Growth Potential Across the Don David Gold Complex in Mexico”
Don David At A Glance:
“Two producing underground mines: Arista and Alta Gracia.
Established infrastructure including processing and filtration facilities, grid-connected power, water storage, paste plant, dry-stack tailings, and road access.
Nominal 1,800-tonne-per-day flotation plant and 300-tonne-per-day agitated-leach circuit at the El Aguila processing facility.
Ore from both Arista and Alta Gracia is currently treated through the flotation circuit to produce separate copper, lead and zinc concentrates containing payable gold and silver.
Multiple mineralized vein systems across the Arista and Alta Gracia mines, providing opportunities for resource definition and expansion.
Regional land package totaling 55,119 hectares and spanning approximately 55 kilometres along the San Jose structural corridor, with multiple, high-priority exploration targets.
A 34,250-meter 2026 drilling program is underway with results to date highlighting several high-grade gold- and silver-mineralized zones.”
A significant advantage of Don David is its established processing infrastructure.
Javier Reyes, Chief Executive Officer of Goldgroup, commented:
"Don David is much more than a single producing mine. It is a large, established mining complex with two producing underground mines, extensive underground infrastructure, a fully operational processing facility and multiple mineralized vein systems that continue to demonstrate significant upside.
"The progress at Three Sisters is particularly important because it illustrates what we believe makes Don David so compelling. We are taking discoveries within an existing operating environment and advancing new mineralized zones into production and the mine plan. At the same time, we continue to have opportunities to expand known resources at both the Arista and Alta Gracia underground mines and test additional targets across the broader property.
"Our objectives are to continue improving the operation, grow the resource base and unlock the significant exploration potential that exists around an established producing complex. We believe Don David provides Goldgroup with an exceptional platform from which to build a larger and more valuable precious metals producer."
Most recently, this past Monday, the company announced big news:
“Goldgroup Upsizes Private Placement to US$125 Million in Response to Strong Investor Demand”
The company “increased the size of its previously announced private placement (the "Offering") from aggregate gross proceeds of up to approximately US$75 million to aggregate gross proceeds of up to approximately US$125 million.”
“The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering for working capital and general corporate purposes, including advancing its existing mining and development projects and evaluating and funding acquisitions, strategic investments and other M&A opportunities in the mining sector.”
We believe GORO could be positioned for significant upside.
