Hello!
New Alert: Starfighters Space, Inc. (NYSE American: FJET)
FJET is our new NYSE American high growth alert, and it is trading around just 1.00 in one of the hottest sectors today – the commercial space economy.
FJET had its NYSE IPO in December 2025, and it is already a member of the Russell 3000. Joining one of the most widely followed benchmarks in the world inside its first seven months as a public company is a very notable accomplishment.
Since we first brought FJET to your attention, the company has announced multiple accomplishments, and the chart setup is now pointing to a very big opportunity.
FJET is a NYSE American listed “space company operating the world's only commercial fleet of flight-ready Mach 2+ supersonic aircraft”.
The company “operates an active fleet of F-104 Starfighters and is the only commercial company in the world with the capability to fly at MACH 2 while launching payloads into space”.
This is not a concept company.
“Current customers include Lockheed Martin, GE, Innoveering, Space Florida, and the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory”.
Over the past several decades, space and satellite technology has become the invisible foundation of our digital world.
Today, space is one of the largest growing economies, with an enormous shift that is happening in the entire market, right now.
FJET may be one of the most direct beneficiaries of that monumental shift.
FJET has a fleet of “F-104 aircraft based at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida and the Midland International Air and Space Port in Texas” and it “is the only company in the world with the commercial capability to fly at sustained Mach 2+ speeds for a variety of aerospace applications”.
Those “iconic F-104 jets are configurable as a platform for air-launched payloads, training for pilots, and to support research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) for hypersonic technologies, advanced materials, missile defense systems, microgravity science, spaceflight hardware validation, and defense electronic systems”.
FJET is an opportunity to participate in high-demand commercial space activities:
“Located at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida alongside SpaceX, Blue Origin and United Launch Alliance”
“F-104 acts as first stage carrying payloads to 45,000 feet for air launch to space”
“Hypersonic testing as part of air launch partner development program”
“Fleet of seven F-104 fighter jets - the only commercial fleet in the world - will be capable of launching payloads through Starfighters STARLAUNCH program”
“Market ready with minimal R&D time given proven propulsion technology”
“We aim to be one of the most cost-effective launch providers”
The growth opportunity for the space industry and FJET in particular is massive and there are two big tailwinds and both of them are occurring at the same time.
First, the satellite launch backlog.
The scale of what is coming is hard to overstate.
Per the company's presentation, there are approximately "18,000 cumulative satellites launched since 2010," and the projection is "38,000+ satellites to be built and launched over the next decade," representing a "14x Increase From 2020 to 2029."
That is “$100B+ in launch revenue over the next decade”.
Importantly for FJET, “~90% of satellites to be launched over the next decade weigh 300kg or less”.
That is exactly the small payload class the F-104 air-launch system is designed to serve.
And the bottleneck is real today.
FJET points to “current growth in the small-sat market based on backlog of ~2000 payloads waiting for launch”, noting that “more than half of all small to medium sized satellites launched in the last 5 years had delays up to 24 months”.
The economics are where it gets interesting.
Fuel costs are “10x cheaper, 2x lighter for a jet vs. rocket propulsion” with “total fuel costs of approximately 20,000 for a Starfighters launch versus roughly 200,000 for a comparable rocket”.
FJET provides “A dedicated launch vehicle to lift the payload - multiple times” which results in the following benefits:
“Affordable $15k (est.) per kg for a ‘taxi’ to your EXACT target location”
“Improved control of schedule, launch date, launch site and destination orbit”
“Fastest turnaround from order to launch, with multiple launch vehicles available delivering much quicker cadence”
“Minimal environmental impact”
“Proven first-stage launch vehicle with thousands of missions over 60 years”
But that’s not all - Washington is rewriting the rules on supersonic flight.
This is the one most investors have not connected yet.
For more than fifty years, U.S. regulation has treated Mach 1 over land as a hard wall. That is now changing.
On July 2, 2026, the FAA issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking titled Enabling Supersonic Overland Flight, which would replace the longstanding prohibition on civil supersonic flight over land with a modern, performance-based regulatory framework.
The FAA determined that the general ban on civil supersonic flight is outdated and no longer appropriate due to advancements in technology.
Think about who benefits most immediately from that. Not the supersonic airliner companies still years from certification.
FJET, the company that already owns flight-ready Mach 2 aircraft, today, with a hangar at Kennedy Space Center.
In the company’s own words: “Starfighters Space: FAA Proposal for Relaxed Supersonic Regulations Could Expand Future Opportunities for Aviation and Spaceflight”
FJET “welcomed the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) proposed rule to modernize how civil supersonic flight over land is regulated in the United States. The proposal would replace the longstanding speed-based restriction with a performance-based certification framework that reflects advances in aircraft technology and noise mitigation.”
As the company further explained:
“The FAA's proposal represents a significant step toward replacing decades-old flight regulations with a modern approach based on measurable ground-level sonic overpressure rather than a blanket prohibition on civil supersonic flight. The proposed framework is intended to encourage innovation while maintaining public safety and environmental standards.”
FJET also pointed to growing interest in dedicated high speed test corridors, “including concepts for dedicated test corridors over sparsely populated regions such as those surrounding Midland International Air & Space Port in West Texas” that would support “commercial space companies, government agencies, universities, and defense organizations.”
Earlier this year, the company announced:
“Starfighters Space (NYSE: FJET) Added to Membership of Russell 3000® Index”
Russell Index Inclusion Expands Institutional Visibility, Broadens Shareholder Awareness, and Reinforces Starfighters Space's Position as an Emerging Commercial Space and Hypersonic Flight Platform Company
As the company further explained:
“The June reconstitution of the Russell U.S. indexes captures up to the 4,000 largest U.S. stocks as of April 30, ranking them by total market capitalization. Membership in the Russell 3000® Index, which remains in place for half a year beginning in 2026, means automatic inclusion in either the large-cap Russell 1000® Index or small-cap Russell 2000® Index, as well as the appropriate growth and value style indexes. FTSE Russell determines membership for its Russell indexes primarily through objective market-capitalization rankings and style attributes.”
Importantly:
“Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for active investment strategies. According to data as of the end of June 2025, approximately $12.2 trillion in assets are benchmarked against the Russell U.S. indexes, which belong to FTSE Russell, the global index provider.”
Tim Franta, Chief Executive Officer of Starfighters Space commented:
"We believe our inclusion in the Russell 3000® Index represents an important milestone in Starfighters Space's evolution as a publicly traded space company and reflects growing awareness of our differentiated commercial space platform."
"As we continue advancing STARLAUNCH and expanding our future commercial space launch capabilities, we believe this increased visibility can broaden awareness among institutional investors and support our long-term growth strategy."
In addition, the company also announced:
“Starfighters Space Advances "Wind Tunnel in the Sky" Mach 2+ Flight-Testing Platform”

In October, the company announced:
“Starfighters Space Completes First Flight Hardware for Wind Tunnel in the Sky™ Program”
“Precision-manufactured hardware advances reusable Mach 2+ airborne testing for commercial, government, research and future STARLAUNCH™ missions”
FJET “announced the completion of its first flight hardware manufactured under a production agreement with Italian engineering company Robby Moto Engineering S.R.L. ("RME"), marking an important milestone in the Company's continued development of its previously announced reusable airborne testing platform, Wind Tunnel in the Sky™.”
“Now en route to the Company's base at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, the precision-manufactured components will be assembled into two modular underwing flight articles designed to support reusable Mach 2+ testing in real atmospheric conditions. The flight hardware will support an initial planned customer deployment while establishing capabilities that can be adapted for future missions. The RME hardware is being developed as part of Starfighters' phased approach to expanding the capabilities of its F-104 aircraft to support:
Testing hypersonic technologies, designs and advanced materials
Testing advanced sensors, avionics, communications equipment, and electronic warfare systems
Providing extended-duration microgravity conditions for scientific payloads
The assembled flight articles measure 3.65 meters in length and 178 millimeters in diameter with a form factor based on a proven military air-launch vehicle, making them compatible with the Company's existing F-104 underwing pylon systems. The modular architecture incorporates interchangeable nose sections, tail assemblies, fin configurations, and internal payload compartments, enabling rapid adaptation for different customer missions while maintaining a proven external aerodynamic profile.”
“Following assembly in Florida, the hardware will undergo ground handling and processing workflows, aircraft integration tests and captive-carry flight evaluations before supporting future customer missions.”
“The collaboration with RME builds upon Starfighters' longstanding relationship with the company and with Italy. RME's AVIO Division, based in Casalmaggiore, Italy, produces precision components for high-performance aircraft, urban air mobility systems and motorsport vehicles. RME previously developed a fuselage-mounted video and telemetry system for Starfighters' in-flight payloads.”
“Several aircraft in the Starfighters fleet were previously operated by the Italian Air Force, where Mr. Ciacchi flew F-104s as an active-duty pilot. In 2023, he flew one of the Company's aircraft during the Italian Air Force Centennial celebration in Rome, commemorating the jet's four decades of service with Italy's military. Italy was the last nation to operate the F-104, retiring its fleet from military service in 2004.”
Tim Franta, CEO of Starfighters commented:
"Completing our first flight hardware represents an important step toward building the capabilities that support our long-term commercial strategy," said Tim Franta, CEO of Starfighters. "Our Wind Tunnel in the Sky is designed to enable testing of advanced technologies through sustained Mach 2+ flight, extending testing beyond the seconds-long runs typical of traditional wind tunnels. The flight data and operational experience generated through this program is expected to also support our continued development of the STARLAUNCH air launch system."
Plus:
"Using a proven aerodynamic configuration allows us to focus on payload integration, flight testing and mission execution rather than developing an entirely new external flight body," said Piercarlo Ciacchi, Director of Flight Operations and Chief Pilot of Starfighters. "The modular design gives us the flexibility to support a wide range of customer requirements while maintaining predictable flight characteristics throughout our development program."
Most recently, the company announced:
“Starfighters Space Advances STARLAUNCH™ 1 Toward Planned December Flight”
“Captive-carry flight planned as a key step toward drop testing, propulsion development, and suborbital air-launch missions”
FJET “announced it is advancing STARLAUNCH™ 1 toward a planned December captive-carry flight. STARLAUNCH™ is the Company's air-launch program, with STARLAUNCH™ 1 serving as its initial suborbital development vehicle.”
As the company further explains:
“Starfighters has finalized the STARLAUNCH™ 1 airframe design and has ordered the flight hardware from Italian engineering company Robby Moto Engineering S.R.L. ("RME"). The December flight would be conducted between Starfighters' base at NASA's Kennedy Space Center and the FAA-licensed Cecil Spaceport in Jacksonville, expecting to provide a demonstration of the rocket's flight characteristics while also allowing the Company to test aircraft integration and establish procedures for future STARLAUNCH™ missions.”
“With STARLAUNCH™ 1 attached under one wing, the flight may provide an opportunity to fly the Company's recently-completed Wind Tunnel in the Sky™ hardware under the other wing on a customer-funded rideshare mission, while also serving as a counterweight to improve aerodynamic stability.”
“After receiving the inert flight hardware in November at the Company's Kennedy Space Center hangar, the Starfighters team will assemble and test the rocket-aircraft interface ahead of the flight test. The STARLAUNCH™ 1 and Wind Tunnel in the Sky™ hardware share some common components and interchangeable systems, allowing standard practices for integration with the aircraft.”
“Data and experience from the December flight will also support work by Starfighters' propulsion partner, Vaya Defense & Space, in their development of a hybrid rocket motor aligned with the STARLAUNCH™ 1 flight-hardware specifications.”
Here are some of the company’s comments from this press release:
"The planned captive-carry flight would move STARLAUNCH™ 1 from design and ground-based development into flight testing," said Tim Franta, CEO of Starfighters Space. "Our approach is deliberately incremental: build the hardware, integrate it with the aircraft, fly it, collect data, and use those results to advance toward separation and powered flight. This work on STARLAUNCH™ 1 is also expected to generate engineering and operational experience to inform the future development of STARLAUNCH™ 2."
Plus:
"December's captive-carry mission would essentially be step one of a multi-flight campaign, building processes for our launch team while capturing data for the FAA and the Space Force as we move toward propulsive air launch," said Piercarlo Ciacchi, Director of Flight Operations and Chief Pilot of Starfighters Space. "Our plan is to follow the December mission with a drop test over the Atlantic Ocean followed by a demonstration of the integrated propulsion system. Development of STARLAUNCH™ 2 would be informed by these missions, concurrent with the STARLAUNCH™ 1 development."
We believe FJET could be positioned for a big breakout higher.
